Bottenwil IO – K316 Weiermattstrasse (AG)
Project
The road surface of the cantonal road K316 Weiermattstrasse in Bottenwil had exceeded its service life and so to be refurbished. This circumstance together with the construction plans of the waterworks (replacement of the drinking water pipeline and new construction of the electric pipe block) prompted the Civil Engineering Department of the Canton Aargau to refurbish K316 over a length of approximately 800m.
As part of this project, the Suhlbach stream culvert also had to be replaced. The culvert was constructed with a concrete pipe DN 800mm and the inlet/outlet areas were secured by means of block sets.
Specifications
This reburbishment took place under a full closure of the Weiermattstrasse, which required a de-tailed construction phase planning and intensive communication with directly affected residents and the adjacent agriculture.
In addition, the existing foundation layer was contaminated with pollutants. A complex disposal concept was implemented to optimize construction costs.
Performance
Go Bau AG was commissioned with the planning and construction management for SIA phases 41 to 53.
