Bottenwil IO – K316 Weiermattstrasse (AG)

The road surface of the cantonal road K316 Weiermattstrasse in Bottenwil had reached or exceeded its service life and had to be rehabilitated. This and the construction plans of the works (replacement of the drinking water pipeline and new construction of the electric pipe block) prompted the Civil Engineering Department of the Canton of Aargau to rehabilitate the K316 over a length of approx. 800 m. The road surface had reached the end of its service life.
Specifications
The rehabilitation took place under a full closure of the Weiermattstrasse. This required a de-tailed construction phase planning and intensive communication with the directly affected residents as well as the neighboring agriculture.
In addition, the existing foundation layer was contaminated with pollutants. A complex disposal concept was implemented to optimize construction costs.
Performance
Go Bau AG was commissioned with the planning and construction management for SIA phases 41 to 53.
